Residential Open Burning – Portola Zone 1

Overview:

District Rule 231 was adopted by the Northern Sierra Air Quality Management District Board on January 26, 2026.  This Rule prohibits residential open burning in Zone 1 (see map below) during woodstove curtailment days September 1-April 30th. Call 1-530-832-4067 for daily curtailment status.
