The Northern Sierra Air Quality Management District operates automated weather stations at most of its air monitoring sites. We collect temperature, wind speed and wind direction data for the following sites (listed north to south): Chester, Quincy, Loyalton, Truckee and Grass Valley (with rainfall data for Grass Valley). (We hope to have weather data at our Portola site someday, but there are some technical difficulties with that site that we haven’t taken the time to tackle.)
